Drei Farben: Blau
Erster Teil der "Drei Farben"-Trilogie: Julie wird nach einem tragischen Autounfall, bei dem ihr Mann und ihre kleine Tochter ums Leben kamen, von ihrer Trauer verfolgt. Ihre erste Reaktion ist es, sich aus ihren Beziehungen zurückzuziehen, sich in ihrer Wohnung einzuschließen und ihren Schmerz zu unterdrücken. Doch in den belebten Straßen von Paris ist es unmöglich, menschlichen Kontakten aus dem Weg zu gehen, und so begegnet sie schließlich Olivier, einem alten Freund, der eine heimliche Liebe für sie hegt und sie in die Realität zurückholen könnte.
