The Wanderers - Terror in der Bronx
New York, 1963: Die Bronx wird von Bandenkriegen erschüttert. Besonders hart sind die Machtkämpfe zwischen den “Baldies” und den “Wanderers”, einer Gruppe italienischer Einwanderersöhne, die vom charismatischen Richie angeführt wird. Damit nicht genug, müssen sich die Jungs mit den alltäglichen Problemen des Erwachsenwerdens und ihren ersten Erfahrungen in Sachen Liebe herumschlagen. Während eines Football-Spiels werden die “Wanderers” von den brutalen “Ducky Boys” herausgefordert. Ein gnadenloser Kampf um die Vorherrschaft in der Bronx beginnt.

_The Wanderers_ definitely isn’t perfect—some moments felt awkward and dated, especially that uncomfortable racist word battle, which made me cringe more than once. But if I look past those issues, there’s plenty here to enjoy, particularly as a lively jukebox film with echoes of American Graffiti and The Last Picture Show.
