"Ganz leise und doch ganz groß!"
A Silent Voice
In der Grundschule ist Shoya Ishida ein ausgelassener Junge, der gemeinsam mit seinen Freunden das Leben genießt. Als die gehörlose Shoko Nishimiya neu in seine Klasse kommt, findet er schnell Gefallen daran, das schüchterne Mädchen zu mobben. Schließlich treibt er Shoko sogar so weit, die Schule zu verlassen. Womit Shoya nicht gerechnet hat: Nun stellt sich die ganze Klasse gegen ihn und beginnt ihn auszugrenzen. Auch seine Mutter muss unter den Geschehnissen leiden und sämtliche Kosten für die von ihrem Sohn zerstörten Hörgeräte tragen. Einige Jahre später, noch immer von Schuldgefühlen geplagt, macht sich Shoya auf die Suche nach seinem damaligen Opfer. Doch wird die erneute Begegnung der beiden die verwundeten Seelen tatsächlich heilen können?
