Fatherhood
Es ist die große Liebe: Matt (Kevin Hart) und seine Freundin Lizzie (DeWanda Wise) sind schon seit Schultagen über beide Ohren ineinander verliebt. Bisher trennten viele Kilometer die beiden Verliebten. Jetzt soll ihre Fernbeziehung ein Ende haben. Die bevorstehende Geburt ihres gemeinsamen Kindes soll das neue Familienglück krönen. Doch dunkle Wolken legen sich über das freudige Ereignis: Lizzie verstirbt bei der Geburt der Tochter Maddy (Melody Hurd) und lässt Matt als Witwer und alleinerziehenden Vater zurück. Nicht nur, dass Matt mit der schweren Last der Trauer zu kämpfen hat, auch muss er die Herausforderungen des Vaterseins meistern. Viel Verantwortung, die er mit der Unterstützung von Freunden (Lil Rel Howery) und Familie (Rodney Alexandre, Alfre Woodard) bewältigt.
