Im frühen Mittelalter durchwandert König Artus das noch relativ unbehauste England und schart eine Anzahl edler Recken um sich, mit denen er das Reich von den einfallenden Franzosen befreien und den sagenhaften Heiligen Gral erobern will. Leider handelt es sich bei seiner Truppe um eine Ansammlung rechter Trottel, so daß sein Unternehmen bald von zahlreichen Rückschlägen heimgesucht wird.

Seriously, you could die laughing from this film. I remember the first time I watched this film, back in antenna days on the educational UHF station that was all fuzz, and even then I thought I would die laughing.
