Willow
Ein neugeborenes Mädchen, so die Prophezeiung, wird die Herrschaft der bösen schwarzen Königin Bavmorda beenden. Durch den Mut einer Hebamme treibt das gesuchte Kind Elora den Fluß hinab und landet bei dem Zwerg Willow Ufgood, einem Bauern, der davon träumt, als Zauberer ernstgenommen zu werden. Der Zwerg versteckt das Kind zuerst, kann sich aber dann seiner Pflicht nicht entziehen. Er macht sich auf, unterstützt von dem Schwertkämpfer Madmartigan und zwei Brownie-Winzlingen, Elora zu den Daikinis (den Menschen) zu bringen. Mit Hilfe der Fee Fin Radziel beenden sie die grausame Herrschaft Bavmordas und ihrer Truppen.
