Der junge Michael Jackson wird als achtes von zehn Kindern unter der strengen Führung seines Vaters Joe früh für eine Musikkarriere gedrillt wird. Mit der Familienband Jackson Five feiert er erste Erfolge, im Alter von 13 Jahren startet er bereits die Solokarriere. Auch im Erwachsenenalter ist sein Leben von der Musik dominiert. Ende der 1970er-Jahre lernt er bei Filmarbeiten Diana Ross und den Produzenten Quincy Jones kennen, was seine musikalische Ausrichtung grundlegend verändert. Das von Jones produzierte Album "Off the Wall" (1979) wird ein großer Erfolg, der 1982 durch die bahnbrechende und meistverkaufte Platte "Thriller" noch übertroffen wird. Parallel zu diesem Aufstieg kommt es zum Bruch mit seinem Vater Joe, den Jackson als Manager entlässt und durch den Anwalt John Branca ersetzt.

I super duper enjoyed the movie. It really brought back the Michael Jackson back from the grave. The fans of the whole wide world loved it. 7/10. Entertaining but basic. Nothing new but it's great for beginners of Michael Jackson's catalog. Except there's a lot more info on the great Bubbles. If there is a Part 2, definitely more of Bubbles please.
