Wanda Sykes (* 7. März 1964) ist eine amerikanische Autorin, Stand-up-Komikerin und Schauspielerin. Für ihre Arbeit als Autorin bei der „The Chris Rock Show“ erhielt sie 1999 einen Emmy Award. Im Jahr 2004 wurde sie vom Entertainment Weekly zu einer der 25 lustigsten Personen Amerikas gewählt. Bekannt ist sie unter anderem für ihre Rolle als Barb in der Serie „The New Adventures of Old Christine“ sowie für ihre Auftritte in der HBO-Serie „Curb Your Enthusiasm“. Im November 2009 startete ihre eigene Late-Night-Talkshow „The Wanda Sykes Show“ auf Fox, die samstagabends ausgestrahlt wurde.
