Réquiem por un sueño
Harry (Jared Leto) vive con su atormentada madre Sara (Ellen Burstyn), y mientras él sueña con una vida mejor, ella está permanentemente a dieta para el día que pueda cumplir su mayor ilusión; aparecer en su concurso televisivo preferido. La ambición de Harry y su novia Marion (Jennifer Connelly) es hacerse ricos vendiendo droga con su amigo Tyrone (Marlon Wayans), y utilizar las ganancias para abrir un negocio propio, pero nunca llega el dinero suficiente para iniciar su plan. A pesas de todo, Harry y Marion no se resignan a vivir una existencia que consideran despreciable, por lo que harán lo impensable para conseguir la vida que anhelan.
