En una empresa inmobiliaria, de la ciudad de Chicago y en plena, depresión económica, Blake (Alec Baldwin) en vista que sus nuevas técnicas comerciales, no son bien acogidas, entre sus comerciales, les lanza un reto a todos sus empleados, el mejor vendedor será recompensado con un 'Cadillac', al segundo con un 'juego de cuchillos' y el último simplemente será 'despedido'. Desde entonces se irá abriendo una brecha entre ellos, cada uno reacciona de distinta forma a este reto, todos empiezan a tenderse trampas y en pensar la manera, de vender o no ser, el peor vendedor, incluyendo, el robo de las "fichas" o "tarjetas de presentación" de los clientes, para conseguir el éxito.

Good David Mamet written film, with the usual Mamet-style dialogue, that doesn't have a real plot and not quite a character study either, yet still engrossing even with characters who are real estate scammers. Seen this several times over the years and still mesmerized by Jack Lemmon's performance. Pacino was good but Lemmon deserved the nod over him. **4.0/5**
