Rebecca - La prima moglie
Il ricco Maxim De Winter conosce in Costa Azzurra una bella e ingenua fanciulla, e in quattro e quattr'otto se la sposa. Lei è felicissima, ma quando arriva nella magione del consorte si accorge che tutti sono ancora ossessionati dalla sua prima moglie, Rebecca. In particolare la governante alimenta il ricordo della signora, che un giorno rispunta tra le onde del mare. Morta. De Winter è accusato di omicidio.
