Angel Heart - Ascensore per l'inferno
Il misterioso Louis Cyphre incarica il detective Harry Angel di ritrovare Johnny Favorite, un musicista scomparso legato a lui da un contratto. Il poliziotto privato scopre che Johnny è stato dimesso da una clinica psichiatrica con la complicità di un medico eroinomane. Durante le indagini quattro persone muoiono e i cadaveri presentano orribili mutilazioni. La porta della verità, per Angel, si apre sull'abisso.

*Angel Heart* spends most of its running time pretending to be a detective story in which Harry Angel is following a trail into somebody else’s darkness. Its best trick is that the trail is his.
