Robert Thorn e sua moglie Kathryn non riescono ad avere un figlio, la moglie ha avuto già due gravidanze interrotte e anche questa volta è andata male: il loro figlio è nato morto. La moglie è ancora incosciente e prima che si risvegli Padre Spiletto suggerisce all'uomo di adottare un bambino appena nato che per la donna sarà suo figlio, Damien. Trascorrono cinque anni e alcuni accadimenti bizzarri insospettiscono l'uomo, che lentamente scoprirà di essere vittima di una congiura. La baby sitter durante i festeggiamenti del quinto compleanno del bimbo si impicca davanti a lui.

The cast I guess tried their best but having just recently watched the original, I was mostly bored as this pretty much follows the same exact plot, scene for scene. **1.0/5**
Usually remakes are risky. Sometimes they turn better (rarely), sometimes worse. This movie is definitely a good remake and actually better than original. Liev Schreiber, Julia Stiles, David Thewlis & Pete Postlethwaite deliver a powerful acting. Story is same, but better quality, better production & better acting. Movie is definitely one of my favorites.
