Tommy Jarvis è cresciuto ed adesso è un'adolescente traumatizzato che frequenta una casa d'accoglienza per ragazzi con problemi psichici: il diurettore dell'istituto gli dice che loro lavorano per reintrodurre gradualmente i ragazzi nella società e permettergli di continuare una vita normale, ma purtroppo c'è qualcuno nell'istituto che uccide i ragazzi indossando una maschera da hockey e Tommy non sa se è lui che sta definitivamente perdendo la ragione o se Jason è tornato dalla tomba...
