ウェス・クレイヴンズ ウィッシュマスター
現代、アメリカ。古美術収集家のボーモント（ロバート・イングランド）が輸入した古代ペルシャのアフラマズダ神像が港に荷下ろし中、酒に酔ったクレーン担当者のミスで落下。作業員のひとりは像の中から深紅の宝石を見つけ、こっそり盗んだ。宝石鑑定士のアレックス（タミー・ローレン）は巡り合わせでその石を鑑定することになり、息を吹きかけた。その瞬間、魔術師によって宝石の中に封じ込められていた邪悪の化身ジンが復活。この世ではナサニエル・デメレスト（アンドリュー・ディヴォフ）と名乗り、人々の願いごとをかなえることで相手の魂をとりあげて力を蓄えるジンは、現世を支配するため自分を復活させたアレックスに3つの願いごとをさせようともくろむ。まんまとジンの罠にはまり、二つ目の願いごとまでさせられたアレックスだが、追い詰められた彼女は一計を案じ、時間を像が破壊される以前に戻すようにと三つ目の願いごとをして、ジンを再び宝石の中に封じ込めた。

TMDB ですべて見るI haven't seen _Wishmaster_ since I was a kid, I always enjoyed it back then, so I was nervous showing it to some friends that wouldn't withstand the test of time. It totally did though. Sure _Wishmaster's_ pretty dumb and it can't keep its story straight, but those practical effects? Bellissimo. _Final rating:★★★ - I liked it. Would personally recommend you give it a go._
