타이타닉호 침몰이 있은 후 백 년 뒤, 예전의 타이타닉호 보다 한층 고급스럽고 거대한 최첨단 선박이 타이타닉 2호라는 이름으로 만들어진다. 타이타닉호가 침몰한 지 정확히 100년이 되는 날에 맞춰 대서양을 횡단하는 항해를 축하하는 승선식을 가진다. 하지만 기념일에 완공식을 맞추기 위한 무리한 진행으로 엔진 장착과 안전 심의 기준을 완전히 충족시키지 못한 채 출항을 하게 된다. 때마침 빙하가 갈라지면서 거대 쓰나미가 대서양을 덮치게 되는데... 타이타닉 2호의 운명은 타이타닉호의 운명을 답습할 것인가?
