James "Jim" Hawkins é um adolescente rebelde visto pelo mundo como um preguiçoso sem rumo. Após receber um mapa de um pirata moribundo, Jim e seu amigo Delbert Doppler vão até a nave R.L.S. Legacy, comandada pela destemida Capitã Amelia e seu imediato, Sr. Arrow, e embarcam em uma jornada intergaláctica para encontrar o lendário Planeta do Tesouro, que contém todos os tesouros do mundo.
