Morgan Porterfield Freeman Jr, conhecido como Morgan Freeman, é um premiado ator, produtor, narrador, e diretor de cinema, (nasceu dia 1 de junho de 1937, em Memphis), Tennessee, Estados Unidos da América. Ele é filho de Mayme Edna, uma professora e de Morgan Porterfield Freeman, um barbeiro. Entre os anos 1955 a 1959, começou a servir a Força Aérea Americana, trabalhando como mecânico, com a intenção de se tornar piloto. Logo após, começou aulas de dança em São Francisco, em 1960, ingressou em um grupo de teatro musical em Nova Iorque.
