Biografia
Irwin Allen foi um produtor e diretor norte-americano de cinema e televisão, conhecido por seu trabalho na ficção científica e, mais tarde, como o “Mestre dos Desastres” por sua atuação no gênero de filmes-catástrofe. Suas produções de maior sucesso foram The Poseidon Adventure (1972) e The Towering Inferno (1974). Ele também criou e produziu as populares séries de ficção científica da década de 1960 Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Lost in Space, The Time Tunnel e Land of the Giants.
