Çizgi filmden sinemaya aktarılan filmlerin bir örneği olan "Müfettiş Gadget", vücudunun her yanına yerleştirilen 14 bin cihazla kuşanmış biridir. Metro City'nin en ünlü dedektifidir. Ancak alçak Doktor Claw iğrenç bir plan düzenler ve Metro City bankasından milyonlarca dolar çalınması olayını Gadget'in üzerine yıkar.
