Charles, kızlarla sadece gönül eğlendirip hiç bir zaman evlilik vaadinin altına girmeyen bir genç adamdır. Bir gün bir arkadaşının düğününde hayatının kadınıyla karşılaşır: Amerikalı Carrie'ye aşık olur ama bir türlü duygularını ifade edemez!İlginçtir, Charles ile Carrie sonradan bir cenazede ve üç nikahta daha karşılaşacaklardır. Her seferinde arkadaşlıkları bir kez daha yenilenecek ancak birbirlerine itiraf edemedikleri ilgilerine rağmen başka başka insanlarla nişanlanacaklardır. Bu nikahlardan iki tanesi Charles ve Carrie'nin olacaktır.

TMDB üzerinde tümünü görGood, if a little light on actual laughs. Hugh Grant is the best thing about 'Four Weddings and a Funeral', he gives an amusing performance. Whilst this largely centres around the persona of "Charles" (Hugh Grant) it's really more the compendium of characters that makes this comedy work well. He is late for the first of the weddings, but that doesn't really matter except it's where he first espies "Carrie" (Andi MacDowell).
