林尚美（徐睿知 饰）因为父母事业的失败，举家从首尔搬家到了一个小乡村，在这个只有五万人口的小乡村里，虽然看起来很和平，但是整个乡村大部分人都被被邪教集体侵蚀了，因为家中的忧患，父亲开始依赖邪教的教主，林尚美也陷入了邪教组织的连环陷阱中从此“深陷泥塘”，难以自拔。那些为了保持自己的生活而保持沉默的人们，没有未来的在村子里彷徨。四个青年听到了女同学林尚美的“救救我”的求救声，没有对此置之不理，并被卷入了神秘复杂的事件当中。
