郑叮叮和男友陈珣相恋多年，为感情她曾一度搁置自己的宠物玩具设计梦想，一心只为对方考虑。直到察觉陈珣仍对前女友念念不忘，郑叮叮决定放弃这段不平等的感情，在乳腺科医生宁为瑾的鼓励下重拾梦想。宁为瑾对郑叮叮产生好感，告白却被她以需要专心事业为由拒绝。宁为瑾并没有放弃，转而在工作和生活上处处关心，郑叮叮不知不觉对他产生爱慕，两人走到一起。尽管因为职业、家庭背景遭遇诸多问题，两人却努力为对方克服各种困难，这段感情让郑叮叮找回了自己，变得自信，也让宁为瑾放下了曾经的固执。在郑叮叮的帮助下，宁为瑾也解开了与父亲的心结。然而因为一次严重误会，宁为瑾提出分手。这次郑叮叮主动挽回，终于解除误会，最后两人修成正果 。
