Die Hand an der Wiege
Die schwangere Claire zeigt ihren Frauenarzt an, der sie bei einer Untersuchung unsittlich berührt. Als der sich aus Angst vor der Schande das Leben nimmt, kommt es zur Fehlgeburt bei seiner ebenfalls schwangeren Witwe Peyton. Die schwer traumatisierte Peyton schwört Rache und nimmt eine Stelle bei Claires Familie als Kindermädchen. Mit Tricks, Intrigen, Drohungen und schließlich Mord versucht sie Schritt für Schritt Claire zunächst das Baby und schließlich auch ihren Mann Michael abspenstig zu machen. Als Michael sich jedoch auf die Seite seiner Frau stellt, beginnt ein mörderischer Zweikampf. Dem geistig behinderten Gärtner Solomon ist es zu verdanken, daß Peyton gestoppt wird.
