Sing Street
Irland in den Achtzigern. Vor dem Hintergrund von Rezession und Arbeitslosigkeit wächst der jugendliche Conor in Dublin auf. Als Außenseiter in der Schule gebrandmarkt, flieht er in die Welt der Popmusik und träumt nebenbei von der unerreichbaren, schönen Raphina. Seine Idee: Er lädt Raphina ein, im Musikvideo seiner Band aufzutreten. Sein Problem: Er hat gar keine Band, kann noch nicht mal ein Instrument spielen. Aber sein Plan darf auf keinen Fall scheitern. Take it with a grain of bias, because I too went to a Christian Brothers school and hated it, but I absolutely adored _Sing Street_.
