Daha önce televizyonlarda gösterilen sevilen dizi sekizinci kere sinema filmine konu oluyor. Bilim kurgu tarzının klasiklerinden sayılan serinin bu yeni sinema uyarlamasında Kaptan Jean Luc Picard, yeni bir görev alan Enterprise (Atılgan) mürettebatına komuta ediyor.
